5. How and why we use it
Data protection law requires a lawful basis for each use of your data. These are ours:
| What we do | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Match you to roles, contact you about opportunities and support you through a hiring process | Legitimate interests (running a recruitment business), and steps you ask us to take before a contract |

| Send occasional updates about roles or our services | Legitimate interests for business contacts, or consent where the law requires it. You can opt out at any time. |
| Website analytics and non-essential cookies | Consent |
We don't make decisions about you using only automated processing.
6. Who we share it with
- Clients hiring for a role you've agreed to be put forward for.
- Service providers who help us run the business, under contract and only on our instructions: HubSpot (customer relationship management and website) and Microsoft 365 (email, calendar and file storage).
- Professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
We never sell your personal data.
7. Transfers outside the UK
We work with clients across Europe and North America, and some of our service providers may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. When your data leaves the UK, we make sure it's protected by one of these:
- a UK adequacy decision for that country, including the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified;
- the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, or equivalent contract terms.
If you agree to be introduced to a client in another country, your CV will be sent to that client in that country.
8. How long we keep it
